Cancellation & Refunds

1. Overview

Thita.ai offers subscription-based access to digital services. Because our service is delivered instantly upon subscription, please read this policy carefully before purchasing. This policy is consistent with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India) and applicable RBI guidelines on recurring payments.

2. Subscription Cancellation

How to cancel: You can cancel your subscription at any time by:

  • Visiting your account Settings โ†’ Billing and selecting "Cancel subscription"
  • Emailing team@thita.ai from your registered email address

When cancellation takes effect:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of your current paid billing period
  • You retain full access to premium features until the expiry date
  • No further charges will be made after cancellation is confirmed
  • You will receive a confirmation email when cancellation is processed

After expiry:

  • Your account reverts to our free tier automatically
  • Your progress, session history, and data are preserved
  • You may resubscribe at any time to restore premium access

3. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers on their first paid plan. To qualify:

  • The request must be made within 7 calendar days of the initial charge
  • The guarantee applies to first-time subscribers only (not renewals or plan upgrades)
  • You must not have violated our Terms of Service

If you are eligible, we will process a full refund of the amount charged. Upon approval, access to premium features will be revoked. To request a refund under this guarantee, email team@thita.ai with your registered email and the subject line "Refund Request."

4. Refunds Outside the Guarantee Period

After the 7-day guarantee period, refunds are not provided for change of mind or unused portions of a billing cycle. However, we will consider refunds in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Extended service outages: If the Service is unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours due to issues within our control, a pro-rated credit or refund may be offered at our discretion
  • Duplicate or erroneous charges: Any billing errors will be refunded in full promptly upon verification
  • Fraudulent transactions: Charges resulting from unauthorised use of your payment method, where reported promptly

Each case is reviewed individually. We reserve the right to request supporting information before approving a refund.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • Subscription used for more than 7 days (outside the guarantee period)
  • Renewal charges where the subscription was not cancelled before the renewal date
  • Partial billing periods โ€” we do not issue pro-rated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations
  • Accounts suspended or terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service
  • Dissatisfaction with AI-generated feedback quality where the Service functioned as intended
  • Failure to cancel before a free trial converts to a paid subscription (where adequate notice was provided)

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please email team@thita.ai with:

  • Your registered email address
  • The date of the charge and the amount
  • Reason for the request
  • Any supporting details (e.g. screenshots of errors, if applicable)

We will acknowledge your request within 24 business hours and provide a decision within 3 business days.

7. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed as follows:

  • Refunds are initiated within 5โ€“7 business days of approval
  • The refund is returned to the original payment method used at the time of purchase
  • You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is initiated
  • Depending on your bank or card issuer, the credit may take an additional 5โ€“10 business days to appear on your statement
  • For UPI and domestic Indian payment methods, timelines may vary per RBI settlement cycles

We are not responsible for delays caused by your bank or payment provider once the refund has been initiated from our end.

8. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks initiated without prior communication may result in account suspension pending investigation. If a chargeback is found to be unjustified after review, we reserve the right to dispute it and recover the amount through available legal channels.

9. Consumer Rights

This policy does not limit or exclude any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law. If you are based in India, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 may afford you additional rights. If you believe your statutory rights have not been respected, you may contact your local consumer forum or ombudsman.

10. Policy Updates

We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For material changes, we will provide advance notice via email.

    Refunds
