Companies Using AI Interviewers (2026): Verified Employers and Platforms
Which companies use AI interviewers in 2026? Verified employers and platforms by vendor, plus Tesla, Delta, Wayfair, Infosys and others we checked.

Rehearse the AI interview round before it counts
As of October 2026, AI interviewers are used by staffing firms, tech companies and talent platforms, but few employers publicly say so. The clearest, officially documented cases are Zapier (an AI-led screening pilot with Ezra), ManpowerGroup and its Experis brand (a global partnership with Hubert), early testers of HackerRank's AI interviewer (Snowflake, Snorkel and Capgemini), and marketplaces that screen every applicant with an AI, such as Mercor and micro1. Many other names in search results, including Wayfair, Wish, Infosys and Hexaware, are not backed by a source we could verify, and we say so below.
This page is grouped by vendor and type, labels the strength of evidence for each name, and will be updated as sources change.

How we decided what to list
We only list a company if we found one of: an official statement (press release, careers page, company blog), reputable press, or several consistent candidate reports. Each entry has an evidence label:
- Official: the company or vendor says so itself.
- Press: reported by a news outlet.
- Candidate report: based on candidate accounts, not confirmed by the employer.
Vendor marketing lists customers, but it often does not say which product they use, so we avoid attributing a product to a customer unless a source does.
Conversational AI recruiters
Zapier (Official, vendor: Ezra)
In a March 2026 write-up, Zapier described a pilot of an AI-led screening conversation from Ezra AI Labs. Zapier reports about 250 interviews, 15 to 20 minutes each, with an opt-in model (declining carried no penalty), a recruiter reviewing every output before anyone advanced, and guardrails preventing the AI from making hiring decisions. Zapier reported time from first review to a completed screen falling from 8 days to 2.75 days. These figures are Zapier's own.
ManpowerGroup and Experis (Official, vendor: Hubert)
On March 3, 2026, ManpowerGroup announced a global partnership with Hubert to scale AI interviewing. The release says Hubert runs structured, criteria-based screening interviews and that final evaluation and hiring recommendations stay with ManpowerGroup's recruiters. Experis is a ManpowerGroup brand, so candidates applying through it may meet this format. Some press coverage names a specific avatar used by Experis; we could not confirm that detail from a primary source, so we do not rely on it.
Yotpo, Xponential Fitness brands and others (Candidate-facing review site, vendor: Alex/Apriora)
Alex, formerly Apriora, offers a two-way AI recruiter by video, phone or chat. Third-party review sites report customers including Yotpo, which is said to use Alex as the first interview for North American sales and marketing roles inside Greenhouse, and several Xponential Fitness brands. We did not find these confirmed by the companies themselves, so treat them as reported, not confirmed. A candidate guide to Alex says a human team reviews the recording afterward and Alex does not make final decisions.
Other conversational vendors
Bloomberg named Apriora, HeyMilo and Ribbon as startups seeing swift adoption of real-time AI video interviews, but the excerpt we could read did not name employers. We do not list customers for vendors without a source.
Enterprise hiring platforms
HireVue (Official)
HireVue announced a two-way voice product in June 2026. Its press release describes "dynamic, two-way voice interviews with every applicant 24/7", scored against rubrics built on industrial-organizational psychology research. We could not find a source naming employers that use the new product, so we do not list any. HireVue's older one-way video format has many documented users; see companies that use HireVue and the JPMorgan HireVue guide.
Delta Air Lines (Official, recorded video plus AI assessment)
Delta's flight attendant careers page describes an "AI-powered Candidate Assessment" delivered by MakiPeople, then an On-Demand Interview that candidates self-record through HireVue. Its FAQ says Delta uses AI in the application process, and that hiring leaders review candidate information and remain responsible for final decisions. That is a recorded one-way interview, not a conversational AI interviewer, and we did not find a Delta statement saying otherwise. Do not assume the format applies to other Delta roles.
AI-led technical interviews
HackerRank Chakra (Press)
TechCrunch reported that HackerRank's AI interviewer became generally available on October 5, 2026, after about six months in beta. It named Snowflake, Snorkel and Capgemini as early testers. The article also lists Amazon, Nvidia, Clay and Replit among HackerRank's customers, but does not say they use the AI interviewer, so we do not list them as users.

Marketplaces that interview every applicant with AI
Mercor (Official)
Mercor interviews applicants with an AI interviewer, typically about 20 minutes, and says AI is the only screening method for those listings. See the Mercor AI interview guide.
micro1 (Official)
micro1 screens candidates with Zara, its AI recruiter. See the micro1 AI interview guide.
Employers with candidate reports only
These are not confirmed by the employers, so read them as signals, not facts.
Tesla (Candidate report)
A September 2026 post on PracHub, a candidate-experience site, describes a software engineer applicant receiving an AI link for a recruiter round of about 15 minutes, in which the AI spoke quickly. The post says the recruiter's email offered to arrange a traditional screening instead. The vendor is not named, and we found no Tesla statement. Treat this as one candidate's experience. For the process as candidates describe it overall, see our Tesla interview guide and the Tesla prep page.
Lenskart (Candidate report)
One product manager candidate wrote on an interview-experience site that their Lenskart interview was led by an AI humanoid with no human in the loop, which they found surreal but well-structured. It is a single account with no date beyond "months ago", and we found no Lenskart announcement.
Names we checked and could not confirm
Autocomplete shows people searching for these. We list what we found so you do not waste time on rumours.
| Name | What we found | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| Wayfair | Wayfair's AI guidelines set out how it uses AI in hiring and how candidates may use AI. No source describes an AI interviewer. | Not confirmed. See the Wayfair prep page. |
| Wish | No source found. | Not confirmed. See the Wish prep page. |
| Infosys | Candidate reports describe aptitude, technical and HR rounds, and project deep-dives on AI roles, but none describe an AI interviewer. | Not confirmed. |
| Hexaware | Candidate reports describe aptitude, communication, technical and HR rounds on a testing platform. None mention an AI interviewer. | Not confirmed. |
| Concentrix | Some candidate reviews mention AI links for screening, but we could not open the reviews to verify them. | Not confirmed. |
| Naukri | Naukri has announced AI tools for hiring, but we found no confirmed AI interviewer. | Not confirmed. |
| Internshala | Internshala says it offers employers asynchronous AI video interviews, in which candidates answer recorded questions on their own schedule and recruiters review results. See its AI hiring guide. | Confirmed as an employer-side feature; specific employers not named. |
| Coinbase | A secondary report mentions an AI interviewer, but we found no primary source. | Not confirmed. |
If you are interviewing at one of these employers, assume a human process unless the invite says otherwise, and read the invite for any AI notice.
What the trend looks like
- Scale: Greenhouse's survey found 63 percent of US respondents had faced an AI interview and 38 percent had walked away from a process because of one. Seventy percent said they were never clearly told upfront that AI would evaluate them.
- Humans stay in the loop: Every official source above, from Zapier to ManpowerGroup to HackerRank, says a human makes the hiring decision.
- Opt-in varies: Zapier made it opt-in. Tesla's reported email offered an alternative. Mercor says AI is the only screening method for its AI-interview listings.
Check each employer's invite for a notice, and ask for an alternative if you need one.
If you are interviewing with one of these
Prepare for the format, not the brand. For general advice, read how to pass an AI interview, then see the questions AI interviewers actually ask. To practise out loud, try Thita's free AI interview, which asks follow-up questions, runs your code against test cases and ends with a written report. It does not replicate any employer's or vendor's format.
For employers: running structured AI interviews
If you are on the hiring side, ThitaHire is Thita's AI interview platform for recruiters and hiring teams. You create role-specific rounds (SDE, Data Science, AI/LLM, PM, Behavioral, HLD, LLD), send candidates an interview link, and get voice-led, adaptive interviews with follow-ups, an integrated coding discussion, an HLD/LLD design canvas, structured scoring by dimension and recruiter-ready reports. You can try a live demo or contact the team from the site. Whatever platform you pick, the practices in the sources above apply: disclose AI use, offer an alternative where you can, keep a human reviewing outputs and audit for bias. For a comparison, see our guide to AI interview software for technical hiring.
FAQ
Which companies use AI interviewers?
Documented examples include Zapier, ManpowerGroup and Experis, and early testers of HackerRank's AI interviewer (Snowflake, Snorkel and Capgemini). Talent marketplaces such as Mercor and micro1 interview applicants with AI.
Does Tesla use an AI interview?
One candidate reported an AI link for a roughly 15-minute recruiter screen in September 2026, with an offer of a traditional screening instead. Tesla has not described this publicly in sources we found.
Does Delta use an AI interviewer?
Delta describes an AI-powered candidate assessment and a self-recorded On-Demand Interview with HireVue for flight attendant candidates. It does not describe a conversational AI interviewer.
Does Wayfair use an AI interviewer?
We found no source saying so. Wayfair publishes AI guidelines covering how it uses AI in hiring and how candidates may use AI.
Does Infosys have an AI interview round?
We found no official source or consistent candidate reports of an AI interviewer at Infosys. Reports describe aptitude, technical and HR rounds, and project deep-dives.
What is the AI interview in Concentrix, Hexaware or Internshala?
We could not verify an AI interviewer at Concentrix or Hexaware. Internshala says it offers employers asynchronous AI video interviews.
Is Naukri's AI interview real?
Naukri has announced AI tools, but we did not find a confirmed AI interviewer product. Check the invite you received and the employer's own page.
How do I know if my interview is run by an AI?
The invite usually says so, and the interface will show an avatar, a recording prompt or a voice agent. If it is unclear, ask the recruiter. Surveys show many candidates are not told upfront.
Can I refuse an AI interview?
You can ask for a human alternative. Zapier's pilot was opt-in, and one candidate reported Tesla's recruiter offering a traditional screen. There is no guarantee.
Is an AI interview legit?
Most are real screening steps, but check the invite domain and never pay or send identity documents before a human has made an offer.
